Qigong Video: Immune Boost

Here is a newly posted awesome qigong video with Master Liu He demonstrating an immune boost set.

In the west we do not focus on strengthening the immune system as a preventative or health maintenance practice either in our daily life or within the health care system itself. In fact the contrary is true. Some of the greatest devastating impacts of modern society on the human immune system is rooted in two areas:
  • the use of antibiotics used in commercial meat production and 
  • a health care system encouraging rather indiscriminate use of antibiotics and pharmaceuticals
From the Center for Disease Control website we find the following statistics. The total number of drugs ordered and provided during combined physician office visits, hospital outpatient department visits and hospital emergency visits in the United States in

Physician office visits

  • Number of drugs ordered or provided: 2.3 billion

  • Percent of visits involving drug therapy: 76%

Hospital emergency department visits

  • Number of drugs ordered or provided: 238.3  million
  • Percent of visits involving drug therapy: 78%

And from another page on the CDC website, here's great reason to start focusing on improving the immune system:

Antibiotic use has been beneficial and, when prescribed and taken correctly, their value in patient care is enormous. However, these drugs have been used so widely and for so long that the infectious organisms the antibiotics are designed to kill have adapted to them, making the drugs less effective. People infected with antimicrobial-resistant organisms are more likely to have longer, more expensive hospital stays, and may be more likely to die as a result of the infection.

Antibiotics kill the healthy flora in the intestinal tract and weaken the natural immune system of the body. They are necessary to fight infections but they should never be taken when not necessary because it weakens the efficacy the more frequently we put them into the body. At the same time, while it kills an infection, we become more susceptible to illness until our system reestablishes its natural immune system balance.

Qigong is very diverse and there is such a wide variety of Qigoing available, it helps to be able to look at different methods and try them on for size before you choose what you are most interested in. Try an instructor with whom you resonate and try out the teaching method and the system for a while before you commit to long term practice. Qigong Video will become a resource providing regular visitors an opportunity to look at many different Qigong masters, methods and and learning opportunities.

Why We Created Qigong Video

Over the last 35 plus years, we have had a sincere interest in energy.

Throughout that time, we have studied, researched, learned and practiced a variety of forms of Tai Chi, Meditation, Martial Arts, Qigong as well as completing a long list of:


  • taking self-development courses, 
  • reading books
  • live seminars
  • workshops
  • group training classes

It seems as though recently more and more ancient knowledge seems to be surfacing all around the world. It is as if we are fast approaching a time where an increase on human consciousness is take place.

Even to those of us used to consider such possibilities as far fetched - or even - incomprehensible, more and more people are becoming receptive to the idea that there are better ways to do things than our recent history demonstrates.

In many aspects, our system is broken. The paradigm of how we see the world and how we interact with it simply needs to change. Whether we are talking a bout economics, health, the environment, families, politics or society in general, much of the world is in a tail spin.

And yet, there are many among us who are thriving and expanding in the midst of this chaos and confusion. How are they doing this? What are they doing differently?
